Holiday Cottage in Wales

Rhydyfen is a fine old stone and slate farmhouse and barns built in 1754. We have converted one the barns into a five star holiday cottage called The Granary. This delightful cottage has ample gravel parking, individual gardens, and outdoor patio/barbecue areas.

We enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and of the Berwyn Mountains across the Dee Valley. The house and the holiday cottage is surrounded by the Rhug Estate which is organically farmed by its owner Lord Newborough. At 2,400 acres this is probably the largest organic farm in Wales and has a very beneficial effect on wildlife in the area. Many species of birds and mammals can be seen on or around the property.

Rhydyfen and its holiday cottage are two miles west of Corwen and half a mile from the A5 trunk road. It is easy to get to being only 90 miles from Birmingham, 55 miles from Liverpool and 70 miles from Manchester (and it is also almost a million miles from any big city!) This well maintained holiday cottage in Wales is therefore ideally situated for SHORT BREAKS which we are happy to offer out of high season.

Granary Cottage is CHILD FRIENDLY having its own private grounds and being equipped with cots and high chairs.
